Tegalalang Rice Terrace

It is the archeological complex of Hindu shrines or temple with uniquely carved out of the rock.The name of Gunung Kawi is etymologically derived from words “Gunung” and “Kawi”. In English, Gunung is translated to be “a mountain” and Kawi  means “sculptures”. The full name can be interpreted as the sculptures that found in the mountain or the rock.
